Playing With Wire » Cuzimatter The Internet Startup Blog Wed, 20 Jul 2011 18:45:29 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Extreme Web Development – 60 seconds, 4 browsers, 1 machine Fri, 02 Mar 2007 07:20:33 +0000 Ever tried to write a web page and make it work in all major browsers?

In this video I make a change to Cuzimatter. Then I test it in Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 6 in a row. Warning: trying this at home may melt your RAM chips. And your brain.

What’re we looking at?

It’s the fix of a spelling error in our Cuzimatter, which by the way is written using symfony. The software used is TextMate to edit, Virtue Desktop to do virtual desktops, and two instances of Parallels – one running Windows XP and the other running Windows Vista in Coherence mode.

We wrote a slightly negative article about Parallels last week, but we gotta hand it to them. They write some pretty solid virtualization software.

Cuzimatter Adds Yahoo, Still Easy To Use Sat, 03 Feb 2007 23:38:46 +0000 A small update of Cuzimatter, our social bookmark utility, went online today. The improvements are,

  • Polished user interface.
  • Support for Yahoo! My Web 2.0 bookmarks.

We know there are a few utilities like this one out there, but we still think Cuzimatter is among the easiest to use. There are no plugins to install, nothing to download. Just click and go.

Cuzimatter Sports New Features Tue, 05 Dec 2006 20:31:00 +0000 I know I know. By now you are like, ‘what, another new Cuzimatter feature? Oh my God I don’t know how much more fantastic web 2.0 utility goodness I can take!’

But we had to do it for ourselves. Cuzimatter has been fixed up to generate W3C compatible links. As a bonus we added an ‘icon only’ mode in the advanced settings which we’re going to start using ourselves since our blog writing space is so narrow. Enjoy!

Cuzimatter Increasingly Amazing Fri, 17 Nov 2006 15:36:00 +0000 Cuzimatter, our social swarmy link maker has been updated! We pulled out all the stops this time and added these new features:

  • Icon Images – Use fancy icons with your social bookmarks!
  • More Options – The new ‘More Options’ menu allows you to fiddle around with the Cuzimatter settings until you’re blue in the face.
  • Better Links – The code generated is now cleaner and works in more situations!

But that’s not it. Today we are also revealing PlugIM support. PlugIM is a new up and coming Digg like site. There are lots of sites like those but PlugIM is one of the few actually making it. Wired wrote about them recently in a blog entry, and Google has picked up on more than 600 pages from their site.

So we’re very happy to let you know that Cuzimatter is the very first Social Bookmarker Utility to add PlugIM support. If you want that sweet ‘Plug This’ link in your blog posting, this is the place to be.

Why are we doing this? Why are we giving you amazing utilities instead of working on our business? Well, that leads me to the final new feature. Every Cuzimatter link set now features a cute little back link to us by default. This link is entirely optional but we hope some people do the right thing and leave our tiny icon in there. We’re hoping this will help establish our online presence before our big product launch. But of course you can leave it out and we’ll still keep giving you the fantastic utility that Cuzimatter is.

New Nifty Little Utitility Tue, 24 Oct 2006 23:39:00 +0000 brings you a tiny useful utility that almost every web-master/blogger needs: a digg, and Blink generator. The reason why Alexander took the time to write this was because of the simple reason that all the other ones suck. Cuzimatter (which is the name of the product) is very simple, just enter the URL and title of the article or page, and it will give you the code necessary to paste into your document – it’s that simple.

We’re not really in the market of writing small nifty tools, but if we do write more of them, we will post them so you can enjoy them as well. I mean, what are friends for?

The name of the product is Cuzimatter, and if you have any comments or feedback, don’t hesitate to post a comment here.
